Non Certification Programs

 

Educational Studies / PE with Recreation

All non Certification majors must meet the following criteria to be officially accepted into the State Approved Teacher Education program at Bethune-Cookman University.

The criteria for acceptance include:

1.       Obtain a grade of "C" or better in the General Education Program Course Requirements including
EN131, 132, MA 131, 132, RE 260, and SC230 

2.       Passing Scores on the CLAST or General Knowledge Test or a Combination of these Tests

3.       Have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale 

4.       Eligible for Background Clearance for Clinical Field Experience

5.       Satisfy University Requirements for CLAST 

6.      Minimum GPA of 2.0

Graduation Requirements

 

1.       Pass all course Requirements in Program of Study with Cumulative GPA of 2.0  

2.       Satisfy University Requirements for CLAST and Passing Score on FTCE Professional Exam 

3.      Complete and present the Senior Research Paper [top]
