Applications for student teaching for Fall Term must be filed by
February 1st and for Spring Term by September 30thof each academic year. Students must qualify by
February 1st
for placement during the Fall term and by September 30th
for Spring term.
This includes obtaining passing scores for all sections on the FTCE (Professional, Subject
Area, and the General Knowledge Test).
To apply for Student Teaching:

Submit a Live Text Student Teaching Application Online.

Submit passing scores on all subtests of the FTCE
and Documentation for meeting CLAST Requirements for Graduation to the Assessment
Office. -
Pass courses in the Program of Study and General Studies Courses:
EN 131-132, MA 131-132, RE 260 ,SC 230, PS 340, MA 390, TSL 370, and TSL 440 (If Applicable) with a grade of C or higher. -
Submit a transcript with a GPA of 2.50 or higher
to Assessment
Office -
Obtain an approved Student Teaching Application to the School of Education

Obtain Background Clearance including Finger printing and Drug Screening before Placement.
