Admission
All education majors must meet the following criteria to be officially
accepted into the State Approved Teacher Education program at Bethune-Cookman
University.
The criteria for acceptance include:

Obtain a grade of "C" or better in the General Education Program Course Requirements including
EN131, 132, MA 131, 132, RE 260, and SC230 -
Passing Scores on the CLAST or General Knowledge Test
or a Combination of these Tests -
Have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale

Graduation Requirements
In order to graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree through the Teacher Education Program,
a teacher candidate must satisfy the following graduation requirements.

Complete all course work in Major field Program of Study with a grade point average of 2.5

Passing scores on FTCE (Professional, Subject Area, and General Knowledge Test)

Satisfy University requirement for CLAST
-
Complete and present the Senior Research Paper
-
Successfully complete Student Teaching [top]
