The Department of English can boast of its small classes; individual attention; qualified, accomplished, dedicated professors; and a caring, supportive, encouraging, nurturing atmosphere. 

The Department of English offers two degree programs leading to the Bachelor of Arts in English and the Bachelor of Arts in English Education. These two programs are fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and the National Counsel for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).
