Department of Mass Communications Staff

The faculty and students in the department are blessed to have a very talented team of people to assist in the classroom, studios and office. Here are the people that make us shine.

Dedra Roman -- Office Manager

Dedra received her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, Florida. As Office Manager of Department of Mass Communications she oversees the daily operations of the department 's offices, studios and labs.

Prior to B-CU, she was employed in the sports entertainment industry, at a management consulting firm and an accounting firm.

Glenn Walker -- General Manager, WRWS -- 99.1 FM

Glenn is a 1974 graduate of Miami Edison Sr. High . He is a member of the 1980 class of Bethune-Cookman College. He earned a Bachelors of Arts in History/Pre Law and a Minor in English, Journalism & Speech Communications,

While a student at BCC he was General Manager of WBCC-AM - 1976-1980.  Staff General Manager of WBCC-AM 1981-1989;  Operations Manager WDOQ-FM 101.9 -1981-1984;  Regional Promotions & Marketing Manager (Florida - Motown Records) 1988-1990;  Regional Promotions & Marketing Manager (Florida & Alabama - Motown Records) 1990-1992; National Director of Black College Relations (Promotions & Marketing - Motown Records) 1992-1994; Operations Manager/Rip It Records 1996 (69 Boys/95 South);  Customer Service Manager (All Eastern United States Properties - Marriott Vacation Club International) 1996-2001;  Case Worker - Florida Department of Children & Families (2002);  Customer Service Supervisor - Starwood Vacation Ownership 2002-2005;  Operations Manager/General Manager WRWS-FM & WBCC-AM 2005-Present

Blaine Campbell -- Operations Manager

Birthdate: February 20, 1974

Hometown: Born in Miami , Fla

Blaine is a member of the New Smyrna Beach Sr. High Class of 1993. He graduated from Keiser College in 1997. He is completing work on his bachelor's degree at Bethune-Cookman University. He was an extra in the 1998 releases “The Waterboy” and “Instinct”. He was a production assistant on the 1999 release “Walking Across Egypt”. Between 1994 and 1998 he worked at Daytona Beach's WPUL as board operator and an on-air personality.

Currently, he is Bethune-Cookman University's radio Operations Manager and On Air Personality at the new WRWS- FM 99.1.

He is married to Ollie Jackson Campbell and resides in Sanford.
