The Department of Business Education offers a degree leading to the Bachelor of Science in business education.  The major is offered in cooperation with the School of Education.

Bachelor of Science in Business Education

The program for this degree includes business as well as professional courses necessary to meet Florida teacher certification requirements.  This program is primarily designed to develop business education teachers for Florida middle, junior, and senior high schools.  Also, this program develops teachers with the necessary skills and knowledge to pursue a career in business and industry.

Admission to the Program

Through a formal declaration of major and approval to the upper academic school level, the student will be admitted to the business education program.  Business Education majors meet the admission requirements to the School of Education and to the Teacher Education Program.  These admission requirements are outlined in the School of Education section of this bulletin.

Major Requirements

The students are required to complete at least 30 credit hours in business education/administration and at least 40 credit hours in the professional coursework, practicum and student teaching in the School of Education.
