Constructed through the generosity of Flora Curtis, a wealthy benefactor who wintered in Daytona Beach until her death in 1920, ground was broken for this residence hall in 1922. One historian wrote "The building not only affords wash bowls, bath tubs and shower baths for students and teachers, but it has three guest chambers with private baths, a Matron's Office and a large living room."
