This page provides links to other sites that maintain lists of program announcements. These sites are listed alphabetically. I will only remove a site if it ceases to provide useful information. For the most part, descriptions are copied directly from the linked web pages. Make sure you check the UNCF site.

Black Excel: 100 Minority Scholarship Gateway

100 Minority Scholarship: Black Excel has presented gateways to well over 1000 Scholarships for students nationwide. In the Black Excel African American Student's College Guide (available at major bookstores and at Amazon.com), we list hundreds of scholarships and provide a step-by-step tutorial as to what to do after you get a gigantic list like the one below. Knowing the "rules of play" gives you a tremendous advantage in regard to the A, B, C's of winning scholarships. Note that Black Excel is linked to over 900 websites, and that many colleges are directing their students to our resources and info.

Environmental Careers Organization
The Environmental Careers Organization is a national, nonprofit education, training, and leadership development organization. Founded in 1972 and based in Boston, ECO has three regional offices, an alumni network and provides environmental internships to interested students and graduates. They advertise job and internship opportunities.
Gates Millennium Scholars
Check out the" Other Scholarships" page at www.gmsp.org.
Search Google using terms like "internship computer science 2007", and all of the variants you can think of. Note that Google does not do "stemming". That means that a search on "internship" and "internships" may give different results.
Google also has an summer internship program. Here is the link http://www.google.co.in/jobs/intern.html. This would be a great place to work.
Hispanic Scholarship Fund
The mission of the Hispanic Scholarship Fund is to double the rate of Hispanics earning a college degree. Since 1975, HSF has awarded more than 61,000 scholarships in excess of $115 million to Hispanic students from all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands who have attended more than 1,700 colleges and universities. Internship and Fellowship Opportunities in Science
This is a U.S. government science and technology link site listing about thirty different sites offering undergraduate internships and fellowships. I have not checked them, but I suspect most require U.S. citizenship or permanent residence status. Go to: www.science.gov/internships/undergrad.html
The Leadership Alliance
The Leadership Alliance Summer Research Program, principally for underserved and underrepresented students, offers undergraduates the opportunity to work for eight to ten weeks under the guidance of a faculty or research mentor at a participating Alliance institution. O*NET
The Occupational Information Network (O*NET) and O*NET OnLine were developed for the US Department of Labor by the National O*NET Consortium. This is a good place to explore professions. You can find out job requirements, pay scales, personality fits, and so on. For instance, do you want to know what a Systems Analyst does and whether or not it looks like something you might want to do? Try online.onetcenter.org
ORISE
Administered by the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE). There are programs for several disciplines listed here. You must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident alien. Applications are accepted year round.

Look for Financial Aid, then go to Scholarship Search at www.petersons.com. They also have a lot of other types of links that might be interesting.
Research Experience for Undergraduates

Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internships (SULI)
Summer programs through the U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Science Education: Science Undergraduate Lab Internships (SULI)
SULI places students in paid internships in Science and Engineering at any of several Department of Energy facilities. Many of the participants in the program have decided on a career in science and engineering because of the nature of the experience. Students work with scientists or engineers on projects related to the laboratories' research programs. The different laboratories each offer different research opportunities. US citizenship or permanent residence required. No obvious application deadline.

UNCF
Go to the UNCF scholarship website: www.uncf.org/scholarship/ and select scholarships from the menu. UNCF is always a great site for scholarships and internships. There are links to a number of internships, including Coca-Cola, Dell, Ford, UPS, and others. You should also search through the scholarship links--you might find one that will pay for your education.
