Bethune-Cookman College is offering this exciting opportunity in Daytona Beach, Florida. Bethune-Cookman College is a historically black, United Methodist-related college enrolling 3000 students yearly. Bethune-Cookman College is accredited by SACS (Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Schools and Colleges). We are looking for a seasoned professional whose experience includes institutional effectiveness, management/budgeting, strategic planning, research and faculty and staff development. The person in this position reports to the Vice President for Academic Affairs. Their main duties will include but not be limited to academic excellence and student success. He/she will assist with strategic planning, faculty recruitment, professional development, curriculum development, fiscal management, community service, resource acquisition and accreditation. The successful candidate will adhere loyally to the vision/mission of Bethune-Cookman College. The qualifying candidate will have an earned doctorate in an appropriate field from an accredited institution; five years administrative experience in higher education with college and/or university level teaching experience. Experience should include a proven record in the following areas: scholarly activity; integration of technology into the curriculum; strategic planning, student retention; professional integrity and ethics; and sensitivity to the development needs of students.
