  Elementary Education Professor



Title:   Assistant Professor, Elementary Education

Job Description:  The School of Education seeks a candidate for the position of Assistant Professor in Elementary Education.  Responsibilities for this position include classroom teaching (focus on reading and language arts), supervision of Interns, student advisement, and conducting research.  Salary will be competitive and commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications.

Required Qualifications:  The position of Assistant Professor requires an earned doctorate in Elementary Education and/or Reading or a related field; or a minimum of 30 semester hours on the graduate level in a concentrated area beyond the master’s degree (in a doctoral program) or equivalent experience with at least 18 graduate semester hours credit in the teaching field(s).  The position of Instructor requires a master's degree in Education with at least 18 graduate semester hours credit in the teaching field(s).  Successful candidates must provide evidence of academic preparation and some teaching experience in public schools is preferred.
